The Ansar were a remarkable group of people from Medina who, when the Prophet Muhammad ﷺ and the Muhajireen were forced to migrate from Makkah, opened their city, their homes, and their hearts without hesitation.
They did not give from their surplus. They gave from what they had — sharing food, shelter, and provision with people they had only just met. It was generosity as a principle, not a transaction. It was help as a calling, not a calculation.
