School ConstructionGirls Education

READ is building a new school in Mangochi on land donated by the community chief — 8 classrooms, an administration block, toilets, staff housing, and potentially a laboratory. Each classroom serves around 60 children, giving up to 500 children a safe place to learn.

BUILD THE SCHOOL

Malawi is one of the ten poorest countries in the world. In rural areas, children walk long distances to overcrowded classrooms — or drop out altogether. Families want their children to learn. READ is building the school that makes that possible.

Build a classroom. House a teacher. Change a community.

HOW IT WORKS

01

BUILD

READ is constructing an 8-classroom school on community-donated land in Mangochi — with an administration block, toilets, staff housing, and a potential science laboratory, built to a standard that will last generations.

02

ATTRACT

Teacher housing is built into the school campus — removing the barrier that keeps qualified teachers away from rural Malawi and ensuring that a world-class building is paired with world-class teaching.

03

SUSTAIN

Once complete, the Ministry of Education assumes responsibility for teacher salaries and ongoing maintenance — embedding READ's investment permanently into the national education infrastructure.
