In the regions where READ Foundation works, girls are the first to be pulled out of school and the last to return. A dedicated girls-only school changes that — it gives families the confidence to enrol their daughters, and gives those girls a safe place to learn all the way through high school.
$350,000 builds the entire school — classrooms, furnishings, a library and safe grounds. READ Foundation has built two hundred and eleven schools since 1994.
