> Terms & Conditions
These are the terms and conditions that apply to all donations made on our website.
Our agreement
The purpose of READ Foundation’s website is to showcase the work we do and to take donations for the projects we implement. When you place an online donation with us, we ensure you receive an email confirmation, detailing your donation amount and the stipulation of where your donation is going.
Donation description
When we take a donation, we take appropriate measures to ensure that the information we are promoting is accurate on the website at the time of publishing. This is inclusive of the price, description and duration. Due to the nature of our work, prices and detail may vary due to external economic factors beyond our control. In those instances, we endeavour to update our website as soon as possible with the right information. We do reserve the right to refuse donations where relevant information has been incorrectly published.
Providing refunds
The Charity Commission states that refunds can only be issued if the donation has been made in error. For instance, if you have selected the wrong item or quantity on the website when donating or if there has been an administrative error when processing the donation then we can issue a refund within a 14 day notice via email atinfo@readfoundation.org.uk of the mistake.
Your security
Your security is important to us, which is why when we take your donation, we only take your details to process the donation and feedback on the item you have donated towards. We follow GDPR guidelines and explicitly ask your permission for any marketing. Please do check our Privacy Policy for further details.
Amendments of services and conditions
We reserve the right to make changes to our website, policies, and the Terms & Conditions at any time. At the time of you using the website, you will be subject to our policies and Terms & Conditions of Donation in force.
Beyond our control
If the occurrence of an event beyond our control causes failure, delay or impacts your donation then we will not be held liable. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
Jurisdiction and governing law
We abide by the law and governance of England and Wales. As a UK registered charity, we fall in line with the jurisdiction of the English courts.
