From Dhaka's streets to Kishoreganj's waters: education is
changing stories.
Why Bangladesh Education?
BECAUSE EDUCATION IN BANGLADESHREACHES DHAKA STREET CHILDREN

READ's Drop-in Centres (DiCs) in Dhaka shelter and educate street children — children at risk of exploitation, violence, and a lifetime of poverty. 98% of DiC graduates enter work, study, or both after completing the programme.

Bangladesh runs two education crises. Dhaka's slums house 1.4 million children working on streets, exposed to exploitation. Flood-prone regions isolate children from schools every year. READ addresses both — different problems, adapted solutions.
Shelter a child. Float a classroom. Change a story.

HOW IT WORKS
SHELTER
READ's Drop-in Centres give street children in Dhaka a safe place to sleep, eat, and learn — removing the immediate dangers of life on the street while opening the door to formal education.
FLOAT
In Kishoreganj's flood-prone chars, READ's School on a Boat brings classrooms directly to children — 10 land and 2 floating classrooms that function regardless of flood season.
EQUIP
READ's climate education programme equips students with the knowledge to anticipate and respond to climate disasters — turning children into community protectors and preparing Bangladesh's next generation for the challenges ahead.
