HOW IT WORKS
REACH
READ street workers go to where the children are — markets, railway stations, rubbish dumps, and back alleys — spending weeks building trust before asking anything in return. We meet children exactly where they are.
SUPPORT
Drop-in centres offer a safe space, hot meals, basic healthcare, and non-formal education tailored to children who have never sat in a classroom. There is no pressure, no punishment, and no minimum requirement — just a door that is always open.
REINTEGRATE
For children who are ready, READ facilitates family mediation, enrols them in mainstream READ schools, and provides ongoing welfare support — preventing the return to the street that so often follows without long-term follow-through.
